This just aired last night. I never realized how many people were wrapping their entire life around health insurance decisions. Getting jobs they don't like or are overqualified for. Quitting self employment. Leaving the country. Waiting to get old enough to qualify for Medicare.

The Tuesday after this coming week, (3/10) the US is getting a DVD release of the Belgian movie Ben X, in which the title character is a  teenage boy with Aspergers.

Contrary to normal media portrayal of AS-folk, Ben is actually a protagonist and a very sympathetic character, which I found refreshing. He is more "severe" on the spectrum than myself ( Read more... )

Does anyone else hate the crap that passes for humor around people? I am so sick of hearing insults directed towards either sex(and especially to women.
